Adding Decimals

For Maths we have been learning about decimals. This week we learnt how to add decimals together. We had to create an explain everything after we had finished doing some on small whiteboards.

Task 7

For maths this week we have been doing a slideshow about decimals. We were doing it on the scholastic website http://www.scholastic.co.nz/media/3225/lucky-816.pdf. For our 7 task we had to pick some things from the Lucky Book club this month.

The Ultimate Top Team

For a treat today we went and done an outside activity called Top Team. The senior syndicate were taught what to do by the man that came with the challenges his name was Khan but we called him Richie McCaw. The people in my team were Tyrese, Paige, Trinity, Talia, Ashley and me. 

The first challenge we done was the ski challenge, then the New Zealand map challenge, then the gutter ball challenge, then team building, then the water bucket on a stick challenge, then the ping pong water holes challenge and the conveyor belt challenge.

My favourite challenge was the ping pong water holes challenge because Mrs Mcguinniety was spraying me with the hose and also because we all worked together the best on this challenge.

For our writing this week we had to write a persuasive peice of writing about Buying A Stick . We are learning about persuasive vocabulary too and we had to highlight them green in our work.
