Get The Measurement Of The Book

In maths today we have been doing compacity and volume. For our second Investigation we had to measure a book. Our Plan was to use a and measure how many centimeters of a page. We will take the width and the length. The people power we used was Hatch A plan again. The strategy we used was We thought that we could measure the book by counting the pages to see how many pages there are. We brainstormed some ideas and this is how many ideas we had- How many pages there was The depth of the book on the side, How wide one page was and How long was the page

Mathematical Capacity Investigation

In maths today we have been doing compacity and volume. For our first Investigation we had to measure the astro turf for how many meters it was and then divide it by 2000. Our Plan was to use a meter ticker to walk around the astro turf once and count how many meters it takes. Then times the number until it. We will also take the width and the length. The people power we used was Hatch A plan. We are still trying to find a good strategy though so we can figure it out the right way.

The Viral Pick Up

For Digi Awards this year I chose to do Digital Sandpit, I did an animation. I chose to do it with my friend Austin. We chose our topic and after a few votes we chose to do it about litter. Our entry shows Be The Change by stopping the litter in the community. Our Group name is The Pick Up Kids!

1st Prototype

For our first product we had to make a simple design with a Be The Change in it and have

Day 7 Reading Activities: Spirit In Motion

For Reading I have been learning about the Olympics. This is the last day for all of the activities. For activity 1 and 2 you get 4 points but only if you do it well. I had to choose who would I do para-cycling with. Then for my next activity I had to write 2 ways how I would raise money for the Para Olympics. For the bonus activity we could get 20 points but only if we done it very good. For the bonus activity we had to make up a new sport for the Para Olympics. Hope you enjoy the last activities!

In Reading I have been learning about the Olympics. This is day 6 for all of the activities. For activity 1 and 2 you get 4 points but only if you do it well. In Reading I have been learning about the Olympics. This is day 5 for all of the activities. For activity 1 and 2 you get 4 points but only if you do it well. Reading Activity 3: Sport Specifies

For my next activity for reading I had to write a poem that describes how you would feel about travelling to Rio. Would you be excited? Would you be scared? How would you feel?
This is my authentic and genuine poem!

I'm on my way to the Olympics
what a beautiful sight
but I wonder about all of those freaky mosquitoes flying around
just waiting to drink all of my blood
while I am still on the plane I am feeling a gross feeling in my stomach
and I feel like I am going to explode
 But the main two feelings I am having are excited and scared.
for the excited one is that I am going to have a good report for the golf
but the scared feeling is that the plane gets there ok
I'm also very nervous about the New Zealand team,
hopefully they don't get any injury's
but the only thing I can do is back my team
and support them all the way

Reading Activity 2: Sport Specifies

For our next reading activity today we had to Take a picture of yourself playing one of the 28 Olympic sports and post it to your blog along with the name of the sport and a brief description of what you are doing in the picture. This is my picture and blurb for the activity

The sport that I am playing is football. In this picture I am kicking an Avaro football with my good foot which is my right foot to score the winning goal for New Zealand to win against Australia in the finals. I am also wearing a gold medal which is made out of paper and the tool I used for it was a pencil and stapler, I won this gold medal in football in the 2012 London Olympics. Reading Activity 1: Sport Specifies

For reading today we were working on our first fun activity which is visit the website for the 2016 Rio Olympics. Click on the name of the one of the sports that is listed on the main page. If possible, choose one that you have never heard of before and read about it. After reading about the sport, post a short description of it on your blog. The post must include: the name of the sport, the aim of the sport and two rules for the sport. This is my activity and blurb.

The sport that I chose is is taekwondo and I chose it because I never knew what it actually was and I want to a lot about it. The aim of the sport is to score the most points or knock the other person out. One rule is that when you play you have one minute breaks. Another rule is that you get 2 points for kicking the other person in the face.

Today for power time we learnt about goal setting. We watched a few videos and learnt how to set smart goals. Smart stands for S as Specific, M as Measurable, A as achievable, R as realistic and T as Timely. These are my fantastic goals.

Editing Blog Posts

 Today when we went with Mr Maddren we were making one of our blog posts better. I chose my Apple Art blog post. So the first we done was to check off all of the things that we had on our blog and the ones we didn't have on our blog post we edit it and maybe upload some on to it or change the writing on it.
